Just trying to get going with the EasySocial Stream Module... the issues I report you can see on mysite.com/test

1) It seems to display 1 less item than you ask for. I set it to 5 and I get 4.
2) There seems to be a big white space between the last item and the link to 'login' or 'view more feeds'.. (maybe related to the missing item mentioned above?!?!?)
3) When logged in, it shows the bar you normally see on the stream to 'load previous stream items' and it keeps trying to do that which presumably makes no sense? It keeps 'loading' but nothing happens... or is it supposed to work and just display the number specified in the module on each load? Either way, something seems wrong!

Thanks if you can investigate and fix these things!
Would love to have the option to toggle the 'login' or 'view more feeds' links on / off as well - but I guess that's a feature request!
Hi Andy,
I set it to 5 and I get 4.
From our investigation it seems there were actually 5 stream items but a published stream item in between those 4 did not show. As a result, you were seeing only 4.
That stream item I mentioned is a group update stream item. I have helped you delete that stream item for now so it should be showing 5. I will investigate this issue further locally to determine why that particular stream item is not showing on the stream, even though that group is an open group.
It keeps 'loading' but nothing happens
I managed to replicate this locally. It's an issue when the module is being displayed in a non EasySocial page. I have helped you apply a temporary fix in this file: JoomlaFolder/components/com_easysocial/controllers/stream.php so it should work properly now. I will also log this issue in our tracker so the devs can find a permanent fix for this.
Would love to have the option to toggle the 'login' or 'view more feeds' links on / off as well
We do not have any settings for this. You can always perform template overrides if you want to edit/remove those from guest view.

Thanks Raymond... All makes sense. It's possible that group was a 'Closed Group' when the stream was posted because I've been experimenting with groups recently. So maybe that gives a clue on what happened there.

Sorry just found an issue with the temporary fix for the 'load previous items' - If you're logged in (of course) then this just keeps loading - Is there a way to have the 'load more' bar click rather than ajax powered?

(I think there used to be a setting back-end for that but I can't find it now?)

You'll see why it's an issue if you're logged in and go to my http://www.mysite.com /test page - try and scroll down to look at the main page content and it'll keep getting pushed down by the forever loading stream module.

I guess one solution is always to put the module at the bottom of a page... but just flagging this up in case anything can be done!

Hey Andy,
You have a good point on the loadmore auto loading function providing difficulty to users when trying to head to the area just below the stream.
We will do something about this in the next release.
Regards.
