Issues with content plugin

How do I stop easydiscuss from showing all categories/content? I am using content plugin, where I'd like people to be able to make discussions off articles only. And if they do create discussions off articles then it can be shown, but if no one has started a discussion off an article I do not want to show it in the component.

I also don't want all articles to be eligible, just specific ones which I've tried using filter options. There just seems to be a bunch of random created items in easydiscuss b/c of this plugin which are wrong, link to nothing, and don't make sense.

So I guess it's buggy? I find it's creating discussions for all kinds of random things from creating menu items to articles to categories....

You can exclude the plugins from appearing based on the category set from your backend > plugins manager > content - easydiscuss > fetch articles from these categories, http://screencast.com/t/pA4cLeMCasYA . I just tried this locally and it working fine without any issue. Please give it a try.

Not for me, I add categories to exclude and category to include and fetch articles from and now I get nothing. So before it was everything and wrong, now it's nothing.

It's also now created an empty item, and also an item for a menu item I just created.....which makes no sense. So it definitely does not work on my site.

Hi there,

Perhaps you can provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access instead so we can take a closer look on the issue here?
