I saw the post and response about gif animation not working if the image is resized, as it will be if it's uploaded through EasyBlog (it used to work in some earlier release ...). So I uploaded the image using FTP into the user's media folder.

Two problems:

1. The image doesn't appear when I go to select the image from the user's media. It is there, as I can get it into the post by editing the HTML to reference the filename (without changing the folder). Clearing cache (Joomla and browser) doesn't fix it.

2. The gif animation plays in the blog post, but it plays constantly. Is there a way I can get it to play when the user clicks it? Maybe some HTML edit? I notice that blog posts with gif animation that I made using an earlier version of EasyBlog will do this.

TIA.
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I believe if you manually upload those image file through your FTP server, it will not work when you browse the image from the composer page because those image didn't go through the Easyblog media manager to process it.

For those GIF image format only work if you using WYSIWYG editor e.g. Tiny-MCE or JCE editor at this point of time.
You can check my video here : http://screen.stackideas.com/Screencast_12-08_11-02-2017.mp4

And currently that was not possible to click that image on the blog post content only show the GIF image.

Thanks for the quick reply on the weekend. I do use the JCE editor, so how do I embed the gif file or a video like yours into a blog post?

I get it. You just use the editor's insert image instead of EasyBlog's media manager. Makes sense. Thanks very much.
