Morning,

Thank you for your support, I would like to ask for two issues to be resolved for me.

1- I would like users to use a code that is supplied by the group creator to join the group and automatically be part of the group without invitation or acceptance from the group creator.

2- Once the user is part of a group, I would like a menu item which would take them straight to the group that their are signed up to rather than groups because each other with only be signed up to one group.

Please let me know how to fix these issues. I would like to solve it myself and not for it to be done for me.

I would appreciate a quick response.

Thank you
Hi George,

We do not have such a feature in EasySocial. Can you explain more in detail how the group creator supplies the code? Is it so that only certain users get the code?

Once the user is part of a group, I would like a menu item which would take them straight to the group that their are signed up to rather than groups because each other with only be signed up to one group.
Setting up a menu item for a group is simple enough. But it's get tricky if you want to set the access level in terms of group members because the access level of menu items is determined in terms Joomla's user groups.
Perhaps you can elaborate more on the first part first before we can think of a way to achieve the second part.

Hi Raymond,

What I would like to do is:

1- rather than inviting people or users one by one... I would like to provide a code for them to them as like a password to join the group so that I do not need to accept the request or anything. They just enter the code which is like a secret code from me, and then they enter that code on to the group in order to gain access.

2- I dont want to assign one group to one menu. I would like the the user who is logged in to hit 'my group' and it would right away take them to the page where their group is located. Right now all i see on the menu is 'my groups' I want it so it takes them to the current group they are signed up to.

Please let me know how I could do this?

thank you

Hello George,

This is not possible currently as we do not have the functionality for a special code to join groups.

As for the "My Groups" menu item, I don't quite get you. By creating the "Groups" menu item, it allows you to pre-select a filter of your choice, http://take.ms/zas1z . Choosing "My Groups" will list down groups the user joined / created.
