Dear staff
I write you because I have a couple of issues about user registration. It's probably all about settings, but I really can't figure out how to fix them.
The first problem is that when people register on the site or through the app, they get registered as administrators instead of common registered users. The second is that I don't get any notification at all when somebody registers.
Please help me solve these annoying problems.
Best regards
Lorenzo
Hi Lorenzo,
I noticed your EasySocial backend directs me to the installation page(http://take.ms/7dkSV). May I know whether you are in the process of installing EasySocial? Let me know when you are done with the installation so I can continue to check on your issue.

Hello Lorenzo,

I have updated EasySocial to the latest version for your site and I have also tested the registration and it seems to be working fine, http://take.ms/MKrUZ

Hi, I have tried to register 2 test users using my Appcarvers customized app but it didn't work.
I don't know if it is a problem of Appcarvers app or Easysocial, anyway, both users I tried to register are blocked when I try to login.
One of them received an email telling the profile is active (although it'as not ture) and the other one nothing at all.
In my backend they are both waiting for activation while as a webmaster I didn't get any notification email about the new users. By the way the most scary thing is that they are both registered as administrators.
Please let me know if I have to drop the issues to Appcarvers or it is a matter of Easysocial.
Best regards
Lorenzo

Hey Lorenzo,
For the notification emails not received by super admins, the reason that is not happening is because in your Joomla user setting for those super users, the Receive System Emails setting is not enabled(http://take.ms/FWZTk4).
You should enable this for those admins that want to receive system emails because EasySocial registration do check for this setting before sending mails to site admins.

For the registered as administrator issue, I found out that in your Joomla's users option the New User Registration Group is set to Administrator(http://take.ms/POEHj). However, this only happens if users register through Joomla's registration form instead of EasySocial. I have helped you change this to the Registered usergroup. Can you help me double check whether this solves the issue?
