Hello,

1. I embedded a youtube video to Easysocial video gallery. When I share the video on facebook for example, the link doesn't work correctly on computers. I can see the post, but when I click on it, I get a blank post image and I have to click again on the link (that is half hidden) to get to my site.

It seems to work correctly on mobile!

Could you have a look at it?

2. Also, Is there a way to force/priorities Easysocial content to be chosen first when sharing a post from the activity stream? Right now, if I share the video from the activity stream, Facebook pull an image from a side module which as nothing to do with the video!! It is working if sharing from the video page itself.

3. I get the warning message when using facebook debugger: fb:app_id hasn't been included in the meta tags. Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app.

I did enter app and admin ID in setting...

Thanks.
Hi Aikigi,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

Ah I see. Seems like I am able to replicate the issue in my local instance as well. I will log this into our issue tracker so our developers can take a look on this issue directly and provide the fix in the next release of easysocial. Thanks for understanding.

Hi Aikigi,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

I've checked the code and it seems like currently it is not possible to get the image from the embed url via quick hack in easysocial. I will log this into our codebase so that our developers can do something about it later in the future. Thanks for understanding.

Hi Ezrul,

I'm a little confuse, What do you mean by "embed url via quick hack"?

Is there a reason why the link works great when looking at it on a mobile device but not on a desktop/laptop?
The post looks normal, it's only when clicking it that something goes wrong...

Thanks

Hi Aikigi,

I am sorry for the confusion here. What I meant is easysocial are not able to fetch any image content to be use inside opengraph tag image from the youtube link inside the stream item as the youtube is using embed property to generate the data. Opengraph image tag are used by facebook to determine the image that need to be use when the content is shared to facebook.

s there a reason why the link works great when looking at it on a mobile device but not on a desktop/laptop?

I am not sure if I understand you here. Do you mean that the image inside facebook is displaying correctly when share through mobile device?

Hi,

Yes, the issue isn't the image, it does display in both mobile and desktop. The issue is when you click on it. On a mobile it immediately redirect to my website with is great. But on a desktop, when you click on it the image disappear and I get a blank white space with a link on the top left (half hidden). You then have to click of tha link to be redirected to my site.

I attached to screenshots from before and after I clicked on it, but you can also use the link I provided in the "additional info" section of my site detail to test it yourself.

Thank
