Hi,
somehow, the links are shown as http://www.domain.com/blog/article-link (--> GOOD), and sometimes the links are shown as http://www.domain.com/easyblog-posts-frontpage/article-link (--> BAD)

Also, sometimes the content is dissappearing behind the transparent menu. I guess i need to make a hidden menu entry, but I don´t know, for which EasyBlog view i shall do so.

I think this is also related to the fact that I have a blog module on my homepage, showing blog articles.

Can you guide me please - thanks a lot!
Hey Alex,

It seems like I was unable to access your site backend page, can you update what is that specific URL which can able to access your site backend? So we can able to check what is the reason why some time it showing this alias /easyblog-posts-frontpage/?

Also, sometimes the content is dissappearing behind the transparent menu. I guess i need to make a hidden menu entry, but I don´t know, for which EasyBlog view i shall do so

Can you also elaborate more details regarding this which page having this issue?

Hi Arlex,

thank you for your reply. Regarding access - can you please check the credentials on your site? It should work as usual, I have checked.

Regarding transparent header - here is an example:

https://www.domain.com/easyblog-posts-frontpage
https://www.domain.com/weber
https://www.domain.com/easyblog-posts-frontpage/categories/sharing

(please change "domain" to my website-domain)

BR, Alex

Hi Alex,
http://www.domain.com/easyblog-posts-frontpage/article-link
You have a frontpage menu item on your site(http://take.ms/RR9DO). As such, the blog post links will always use this menu item's alias.

You could remove the menu item but then your 'View all post' link would not be redirected to the blog frontpage.

One alternative you can try is to use this setting(http://take.ms/Bktbx).

For the header, do you mean that you do not want it to be in front of the content when on top of the page? http://take.ms/tnf5l

If that's the case, perhaps you can try using the following custom css? (only applies to EasyBlog pages)

.com-easyblog .transparent-wrapper {
position: initial;
}

Hi Raymond,

thank you very much for your help. It seems that just deactivating the hidden menu item (Alias: easyblog-posts-frontpage) already solved the URL issue and on the same also the issue with the transparent menu.

then your 'View all post' link would not be redirected to the blog frontpage.

Yes - I took the menu ID from the magazine BLOG entry and added it to SEO/ADVANCED, but unfortunately, the "View all Blogs" still doesn´t work?

Thx,
Alex

Hey Alex,

If you want the 'View all Blogs' link to work, you have to enable the frontpage menu item. Perhaps you can try this and see how it goes?

Hi Raymond,
not sure, if that is the solution, because from there, I was coming with the issue that the URLs will then be changed to ".../easyblog-posts-frontpage/..."?

Thanks, Alex

Hey Alex,
I took the menu ID from the magazine BLOG entry and added it to SEO/ADVANCED
Since you added the menu ID into that SEO/advanced setting, I believe the URLs will no longer change to ".../easyblog-posts-frontpage/..." even if you enable the frontpage menu item.

Hi Raymond,
thanks for your answer. Unfortunately the link on the blog homepage is still not working.

I actviated the frontpage menu item (1)
I noted the blog menu ID from the main menu (2)
I added the menu ID to the EasyBlog settings (3)

URLs are OK, but link is not working.

Thanks,
Alex

Hey Alex,

I have rechecked your conditions and the settings involved. Unfortunately, you would not be able to achieve what you want with the following conditions.

1. blog entry url use magazine menu item
2. 'view all blogs' url use frontpage menu item

However, this is still possible if you hardcode the url into the magazine theme file: http://take.ms/gwK9f

JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/blogs/magazine/layout_1.php

You can template override this theme file in your template to protect the changes from future updates. However, you have to take note of this when changing the alias or editing the frontpage menu item.
