Hi Team,

I found that when I my display language is not english (eg: Chinese Traditional), the AM / PM button is not working while selecting date/time in event. It also won't change while automatically while adding time from 10AM, 11AM.... 12PM , and it returns to 12AM in Chinese interface .

I guess is the problem for checking string of the date time value; in Chinese language it won't show AM/PM in the field but 上午(早上)/下午. Please advise anywhere I should fix this or I should force it only showing AM/PM?

Here attached is the screenshot FYR.

Thanks.
Hello,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hi Mark,

Sorry we don't have any UAT environment at the moment; but checking with our live site, the version 1.3.6 doesn't have the problem (the AM/PM retains in AM/PM, not 上午/下午)... and the 1.3.10 changed.

I tried to changed the Event > Display Time-format from 12-hours to 24 hours but the format retains the same (for date-time selector), anywhere I can deal with this to get rid of the AM/PM thing?

Thanks.

Hi Mark,

Oh I found the solution. I need to change the "Time Format" inside Event Categories > Custom Field from 12H > 24H and the AM/PM gone. I still suggest your team to investigate the AM/PM selector behavior in sites with multilingual environment if you have spare time. Since this is quite important to get the Event work when using 12H time format. Thanks.

Hi,

Unfortunately, due to the fact that this is a 3rd party datetimepicker tool, we aren't sure what the intended behaviour is because from what I can see, changing the "hour" spans across a 3 selection (morning, afternoon, dawn), in which for this case, "AM/PM" no longer applies.

Would you prefer the datetimepicker to still be in "English" even if your site is in Chinese?

Hi Jason,

"datetimepicker" to still be in ENG (in other languages) can be one solution; since I confirm it's not working in Chinese environment. Else I can only change it back to use 24H format only.

Hi,

Will add an option in the field to either follow site language or to use English only in the next version.
