Hello,

We are using Jomsocial 3.0 with the JA Social Template from Joomlart. The Event and Group Blogging plugins don't seem to work. Can't the see Blog link on the Events or Group pages. Request your help, please.

Thank you
Warm regards

Praveen

(PS: We have a PDF containing credentials to access the site Administrator and FTP. How do I send you the PDF file containing the credentials? Do attachments uploaded on this screen appear as Public information in the Forum?)
Hello,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue? Please include the access under the Site Details tab below.

Hello,

Am sending the site details. Please also see the optional information as you will need multiple levels of authentication to reach the Admin area.

Thank you

Hello Praveen,

I have been playing around for your site for almost 2 hours now and I still cannot create a group in JomSocial. I tried viewing the back end and I don't see any groups either.

Hello Mark,

Yes, I also tried just now, and am unable to create any Group. Strange. Let me resolve this issue first. Will revert in some time. Thanks for all the help.

Hello Mark,

I am attaching the site details once again. I have checked all our security controls and ensured that no IP is blocked. Please try once again.

(Please note the site URL - It's SSL and a little different from the traditional Joomla Admin URLs)

Okay, found the problem. There's 2 issue actually

1. The Group Blog plugin is not enabled and I am really surprised that you have so many plugins and extensions installed on the site. Seriously, you will face maintenance nightmare in the future.

2. It looks like you are using a much older version of JomSocial. I have applied some fixes for you and it works fine now.

Thanks, Mark,

We have the latest version of Jomsocial - 3.1.0.4.

Also, would you be able to let me know that changes you've made, and the files that have been changed, so that we can make a note so as to not overwrite those files accidentally while installing future updates.

Also, thanks for the advice on the number of plugins. We do understand the maintenance overheads, and have a strong process-based approach for our Joomla projects.

Thank you
Warm regards

JOOMLA/plugins/system/eventeasyblog/eventeasyblog.php

Hope this helps.

Thanks!
