Thanks for all the help with getting the remote posting working. I now have another issue. That is with the posts that are created. It seems like the emails are not being properly imported. It is adding "New blog post" to the titles and the formatting has huge spaces in it.
Hello Michael Martin,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have tried to create a blog post via email, it seems like the content format is show fine for me. Check my screenshot below.
May i know give us some screenshot which part you are referring? Please advise.

I am not sure what is going on. It might be happening when posts are emailed via smartphone. I do know that when I looked at the code of the post it has a lot of "<b><\b>" added into it.

Arlex, I think I have figured out what is going on. Some how the notification email of the new post was sent to the blog email account along with the subscribers. That's why it was doing what I had mentioned. I have since setup a filter to delete any emails that go to the account where the subject begins with "New blog post" that should fix the issue.

Regards,
Michael M

I think it is solved. Only time will tell. Just one question. Does the " Notify all members on new entries. " option only apply to current subscribers or all member of the site? If it applies to all members then you need to add an ignore for the blog account. That is the cause of the issue if in fact it sends notifications to all accounts.

Hello Michael Martin,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Yes, by default this option "Notify all members on new entries" will notify all the Joomla user.
If you would like to notify all the subscriber when the new blog post published, you have to select this option "Notify site's subscribers on new entries"
Unfortunately we do not have this option for only notify to blogger at this point of time.

What I meant was you need to add in a filter to designate which account is for the blog so that the system will NOT send notifications to that account. In that way you will not be required to setup a "Prefix" for filtering or like in my case and email filter on the actual email account.

Hello Michael Martin,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,
Hmm, you can try using another method to achieve your current requirement, what i suggestion is you disable this option ""Notify all members on new entries"", then ask you all blogger to subscribe in your Easyblog site wide, so when the admin publishing a blog post, so only subscriber can get the email notification.
Hope this help.
