I'm unable to update EasyBlog, when I access the dashboard it simply says Checking For Updates ..., and never changes. Image attached.

I've tried clearing cache, logging in and out etc.

Any suggestions?
If you are on version 5.0.42, then it is strange because in the browser console EasyBlog is trying to load a v5.0.44 file(http://take.ms/0Dsf5). The very probable reason could be a failed and incomplete installation/update. Which is why I suggest installing EasyBlog another time and see how it goes.
Since your domain is under your license, installing by using either launcher or full installer works.
Remember to backup any customized files before installing.

Hi Johnny,
May I know what version of EasyBlog you are currently using? Also, can I have permission to reinstall your EasyBlog(in case of incomplete installation) and see whether the issue is resolved? Remember to backup your customized files.
If reinstalling does not solve the issue, I would need you to set up ftp access so we can troubleshoot this more deeply.

Hi Raymond,

If you are suggesting a complete reinstall of EasyBlog I'm happy to give this a go? Do I simply download the full package again and upload as normal?

I think I'm on version 5.42 currently

Thanks Raymond, I'll give that a go now and let you know how it goes. My client clicked update then I think cancelled the update half way through the process.

I don't suppose there's any (easy) way to find which files I have customised? I pretty sure there's only one which I have already backed up.

Hey Johnny,
There's no easy way to find customized files. You would have to keep track on which file/s you modified in the future so that you can better plan the update/installation process. Or you can also backup your entire site as a precaution too. If those files are in a template override directory like in .../templates/yourtemplate/html/com_easyblog then they will be protected from future updates.
