I am having an issue embedding media elements such as an iframe into a blog post. I have checked all three places that I know of: global configs - text filters, Easy blog acl, and the wysiwyg editor (JCE) settings. When I save an element such as an iframe it is saving the code as text. If I use the toggle editor function and submit the iframe within a paragraph <p> tag manually everything works fine. However front end users do not have access to the code so they are just submitting the iframe directly into the editor. Please advise, site details are attached.

Thank you
Matt
Hello Matt Meyer,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply and I also reverted back this 2 file what my colleague trying to hack for you and causing another issues.
JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easyblog/tables/blog.php
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/controllers/dashboard.php

By the way, Unfortunately that was not possible The iframe code only can put in under the toggle editor area, check my video : http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-13_2042.swf

Hi Matt,

I am really sorry for the delayed reply. I have apply some fix on your site. Can test and verify for me this issue is fixed? These are 2 files which I have edited:
/administrator/components/com_easyblog/tables/blog.php
/components/com_easyblog/controllers/dashboard.php

By the way, these 2 files are core files and it will get override when you update EasyBlog. Please backup these files before updating it.
Please give this a try and update us back on this. Hope this helps.

I am still having the same issue. If I try to add an iframe for a soundcloud or spotify player it is saving the the code as text and not the player. Also after the you made the edits, even if I select toggle editor and input the code that way it is now removing the code. Before it would work if I submitted the iframe via the toggle editor page. This is happening both in the admin and on frontend for user group ( Artist Rep).

Thank you
Matt

This could be an isssue with the JCE text editor. Before I was using the Joomla default Tinymce editor and it was working ok but it did not have all the functions I needed.

Hello Matt,

If so, it is advisable for you to consult with JCE developer about this.

Ok, I know other users use this editor since it is the most common editor used beside the joomla default but can you please look into the issue on last time before I contact the other developers. Also the edits that were made yesterday had caused another issue if you read above about how I can longer input iframe elements through source code view anymore which was working before with JCE editor. I appreciate the help very much.

Thank you
Matt

Ok thank you very much for looking into this issue. Do you know if that is the case with all Joomla content editors or do you know of any that can take <iframe> tags in the body of the text editor without have to add through source code view?
