Yes, to be honest, I am not sure if that older file works in the latest version of the module that you are using but, make a backup first

Mark i get this error when i enable the module:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JModel::getInstance() in /home/********/public_html/mainsite/modules/mod_sp_news_highlighter/ebhelper.php on line 36

The errors seems to be generated by that module. I believe they did not include the necessary codes to require JModel in their module. Can you check this with the developer of the module?

The module works well with Joomla cats but when I choose easyblog it gives me the error... Can you check on this for me?

then it redirect to the homepage, please advise.
