Is there documentation on how to integrate komento with easysocial? I've activated integration with easysocial in the komento configuration. However, i don't see that anything has changed in the front end of easysocial. Step by step tutorial would be helpful. thanks!
Is the Comments plug-in, that I'm assuming integrates Komento with EasySocial activity stream and profiles, compatible with current versions of Komento and EasySocial? Looks like last update of this plug-in was in 2016.

Hello Jo,

If you were referring to this app https://stackideas.com/apps/item/9-comments , yes, you would need to install this in Easysocial Applications: http://take.ms/vDU8u Make sure you already have these configured in Komento: http://take.ms/ybbEW . Finally, you can try to make a test comment and see whether it creates a ES stream for that comment: http://take.ms/jaKRH .

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the quick reply and walk through. I followed your instructions. And all seems in order in the backend. However, I'm not seeing any difference with the commenting on the stream in the front end, as though the app made no difference. Should there be a visible difference? Does this app make it possible to comment on other comments within the stream. The Komento component is working fine on joomla articles. Would you by chance have an available screenshot of what Komento comments app looks like in the stream when turned on?

When the app is installed either by user choice or by default - where the widget should show in the sidebar of the user profile, I see only the word "array".

Hey there,

Can you please edit your first post at the top and include the following access please?

- Site Admin access (Please ensure that the user has super admin access)

- FTP access (We need this because if we use a file manager in Joomla, there are times where we have a typo and this might eventually break your entire back end and front end for instance if we are editing a system plugin). There is no way to save the site unless we have the ftp access.

Hey Jo,

I am really sorry but I think there are some confusions here. Komento does not alter the behavior of the comments on the activity stream. When you install the app for Komento in EasySocial:

1. It will render activity streams in EasySocial for comments that are made on your articles or any other extension which you integrate Komento with.

2. Komento is also able to use avatars from EasySocial, therefore unifying the user experience

3. With the Komento app, when you view a person's profile, you can view a list of comments they have made on the site.

Hope this helps!
