Is there a setting for notifications to authors about new subscribers?

From what I can tell, if there is a new subscriber for a specific blogger, then the administrator gets an email notification, but not the author. Is there a way to turn this on? The reason I ask is that I have found that authors need positive feedback that they are doing well, so having notifications that they are getting new subscribers would be great.

Yep, this is already possible with EasyBlog. You can enable the option under Settings > General > Subscriptions as you can see here, http://take.ms/7z2Kq
