m4a is currently not an allowed audio type in EasySocial.

in fact this was the question in my last support request.
Could this "PLEASE" be allowed in EasySocial
I would love to use this feature to share audio clips with my students, it would mean a very great deal.
OR maybe even a work around that you could suggest?

You can modify the following file to achieve this.
JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/audio/audio.php

Basically this allows you to upload m4a files at the story form or when creating new audio items.
