You can edit the blog post and disallow comments in the blog post if you want.

thanks i tried that - but disallowing removes even the previous comments, to be displayed on the frontend site

Unlike - discuss - wherein when the post is locked - previous replies / comments still remain intact to show in front end
But in easyblog - when disallow comments is later on set to yes - the previous comments, even do not show up in front-end

am i doing something wrong or is that a correct nature - as i still cant find option to lock in for future comments

Ah, sorry but there's no alternatives for this currently.

no issues - may consider as a feature request if can
also if can incorporate in forthcoming version :-

A) There are some Blog Articles, which are evergreen. So is it possible to hide date & time at time of creation of some specific blog posts or at later stage
B) Individual blog setting option of pagination comments (to determine how many comments on one page)
C) An option to lock comments in individual blog post
