Hello, the title says all.

Is it possible to embed an image into a post? I know you can use attachment but is it still possible to embed an image into a post?

In a forum post, you sometimes want to place images on a specific location. With attachment system, it is currently not possible (or I don't know how).

Thanks.
Hi Dean,

I am sorry for the late reply for this. Correct me if I am wrong. As I understand, you want to display an image on discussion post, Eg: http://screencast.com/t/lcH1FAsqNiS . You just can click on image picture Eg: http://screencast.com/t/2Ncoo5DFhH6j , or just by using hotkey [Ctrl+P] . Please give it a try.

Have a nice day ahead Dean

Thanks. I assume that is the only method?

Usually, a forum allows an image attachment to be posted within a post. I guess that isn't possible?

Hello,

Hen you say posted within a post, did you mean inline with the post like this: http://screencast.com/t/u5Se4ERl98CI ?

Allow me to explain further.

The current method of embedding images you are suggesting requires a user to manually upload an image elsewhere and use a URL to link the image.

Almost all conventional forums allow you to link your attachments within a post. The current method of embedding an image in Easy discuss is very inconvenience. Normally, a user do not want to bother going through steps to embed images. The simplest way to embed images in a post, for majority of forums, is attach and link it.

At the moment, I do not see such a feature. An image attachment in Easy Discuss post does not appear to be manipulatable in anyway.

Is that correct?

I think too Dean, we should be able to insert images and manipulate their positions in the form

Hello Dean,

Ah, I see. Unfortunately, that is the only way you can insert an image into the post.
