Hi,
hopefully this isn't a daft question.
I want to add a 3rd party module to the centre of the Docker toolbar so that it appears fixed on every page within the docker. Is this at all possible? It is just a dropdown box.

Kind regards

Mel
Hey Mel,

I am sorry but the docker plugin doesn't render any module positions currently.

Hi Mark,

thanks for responding as always.

I just found a workaround I am using ModulesAnywhere. Do you think this will cause any issues?

I went to plugins/system/docker/themes/default.php

Then on line 45 I added {modulepos myposition} as follows:

<div class="no-content">{modulepos myposition}</div>
Now it displays nicely in the centre of the docker

Ah yes, if you are using modules anywhere, I think that would be fine

Hi Mark,
I was trying to add GTranslate which works beautifully in other module positions. Although it loads the modules in the docker, it seems not to apply the code/css? to it that stops it loading the blue google translate bar etc.

SO back to the drawing board for me

Hm, I think it should load depending on how the module is being styled. You should inspect to see if the module's stylesheets are being rendered on the page.

Hi Mark,

sorry to be an idiot. How do I check that?

I can see in ModulesAnywhere documentation that it can have extra paramaters added as follows:

Further on in this tutorial you will see you can control how the module works by adding extra parameters to the tag.

The syntax of these parameters looks like name="value", which you might recognise from how html works.

As soon as you add parameters, you will need to place the module title/id in a parameter too, like:

{module title="Some module" style="none"}
{module id="123" style="none"}

Would you know how I identify the stylesheet for this?

Hey Mel,

Hm, to be honest I am not entirely sure but you should check out with the guys that created the module as to how the module is rendering the styles.

I could inspect those elements if the account still works but can't login to the site with the provided login credentials.

Hi Mark,
I always switch off the access when its not needed

I have re-enabled it. I have been trying to figure out how it is rendered but cannot see.

Update: I have just spotted the time where you are. Please don't respond to this now. I shall switch it back on tomorrow, but it isn't your problem as its not an issue with the docker. I will try see if I can figure it out and if I do, will post back in case others want to do same.

Hi Mark,

an update.

I found a work around I basically added the module in a second position (in my footer) and this now loads the module correctly in the docker. It actually works well now having the optin at top and bottom.

Thanks for trying to help me.

Hey Mel,

thanks for updating this topic. It was very helpful reading your updates related to that since I think using modulesAnywhere to make it work inside the docker is a great idea!

Hi Sabih,

just one problem I discovered. It spoils the mobile view (in this case) as it takes up valuable space needed by the icons not sure how to re-size it for mobile. If you use an icon rather than display the module maybe that would work. I am going to research more some workarounds, but at least its a start!
