Hello,

I was clicking around today on backend and went to the trackback section of easyblog and noticed 70 different blogs that were all unpublished. Does this mean that the 70 blogs were used somewhere within another site that is displayed under the item? I went ahead and published them all....is it always okay to publish these trackback urls?? Kind of lost on what exactly the trackback url page is about. Is it basically saying someone from a site copied and used the trackback url from a blog I posted but I have to publish it in order for the link to work on the other site?? Seems like alot of it is spam like websites......
Also,

when i try and copy and paste the url into my browser i always get a small xml page that pops up. Is this page showing like this because the link itself is supposed to only be copied and pasted within a special part of a blog application?

THanks n advnace

Hello Dezmond,

Sorry for the late reply as it's the weekends. Trackback URLs are not supposed to be accessed via browsers thus the XML page you get when doing so. Also yes trackbacks are basically links that will provide a "trackback" to a specific post. You can always turn of trackback if you feel it is spamming your site. Just go to backend -> EasyBlog -> Workflow -> General and set the "Enable trackbacks" to NO Hope this helps.

Thanks!
