the latest easydicuss doesn't support joomla 1.5 so if you want to work on 1.5 you need to grab an old version from the archive. but the much better solution would be to upgrade joomla because 1.5 is also not supported at all by joomla itself since about 1 year now...

Sorry for late reply to this, you can try the method suggested by Alex, because the latest version of Easydiscuss is no longer to support Joomla 1.5, you have to download the older version 3.1xxx install in your Joomla 1.5 site.
