Hi! I am testing out Easyblog as a blog solution for my site in development, and has selected the Norwegian language option. But as I can see, there is a lot of english words all over both in the EasyBlog menu "Authors" and elsewhere, and I can not find any way to change all that. Is it impossible for me to make my EasyBlog version "100%" Norwegian at this time? I have looked at overrides also, but only found a few. I am not an expert on Joomla, but as you stated that you only want 100% satisfied customers, I can only use EasyBlog if it is 100% translateable. Else it will not look good. I just need to know this and where to do it. I can not even find out how to translate the menu in Easyblog.
Hey there,

Currently, the Norwegian Bokmål language for EasyBlog has been finished translated at 19%.

For your information, all the translation work for our components are done by volunteer translator.

You can translate the untranslated language constants at these files for Easyblog which is at JoomlaFolder/language/nb-NO.

Do keep us update if you still can't find which language constant to translate for that particular part.

Take note that you always need to backup the translated file because if you press the update button for this language in EasyBlog, it will override back to original.

Hi!

Based on your answer, I decided to use the language override function, and it was a very big job to find all the Constants in English that i needed to translate an create a new in Norwegian, but I have now done it for almost all of the visible things on my page. I know there is a lot more, and I may need some help at noe point to find the correct constant for that spot, as it is many. With overrides, I do not have to worry about you updating the languages in Easyblog, so that is why.

Hey there,

I suggest you to have a try on my suggestions below:

1. You can find the language constants at the language override by inserting the value into the search bar as shown in the screenshots. Make sure the 'Search for' is set to 'Value'.

2. You can donwload the Sublime Text 3 which is a text editor here and open the nb-NO.com_easyblog.ini file which is at JoomlaFolder/language/nb-NO/nb-NO.com_easyblog.ini to edit and translate it.

Take note that the others file are the translation for EasyBlog's modules.

3. If both of the suggestions above are not working for you, can you provide us with some screenshots on which part do you want to translate so that I can find the language constants for you?

Can you have a try and see how it goes?

Hope this helps.

Yes nr 1 was the one I already did a lot of just the way you described. It is a lot of work, because Joomla gets a bit confused when I search for text in the english language section in one window and updates a Norwegian version in another . But I have done hundreds already, and all that is visible so far.

I appreciate the path to the language file, because I did not find the correct one previously I use Siteground, and they already have an editor installed to be used from cpanels file manager, and I now have a copy of that file on hand for use with the overrides, and I expect that to be easier.

By the way. Some of the already translated text for Norwegian, is pretty badly translated. Maybe I will take the time to update that ini file at some point, and then I may send Easyblog a copy :-).
