Hi,

I have been having a lot of login issues for my site and have been playing with settings for a few weeks but I have not yet found a solution.

It appears that a lot of users are receiving invalid token errors when logging in to my site or logging out. I think the issue has to do with the fact that my home page can be accessed via vghl.myvirtualgaming.com and vghl.myvirtualgaming.com/index.php. I saw a setting in easysocial for this but it didnt really do anything. I have a menu item set to public in the top left corner and it only loads for public users on the url vghl.myvirtualgaming.com/index.php which is why im making the assumption.

Also, when users login with the social connect buttons, it reloads as if they are not logged in, but, if they hit refresh they are then logged in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Hey Fidel,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I just tried the exact step that you have provided and the page actually refreshed itself and I am logged in after that.

Hey Fidel,

Do you have any caching in place? The menu doesn't really matter. If you are hitting the "Invalid token error", they are often caused by any caching system / plugin . If you have varnish in between the web server, it is also known to cause these issues.

Hi Mark,

I thought the same thing so I've disabled any and all caching on my site (which is not ideal with all of the current server overload that I'm having) and it still hasn't fixed anything. I also dumped and purged all of my cache.

As for the menu, I need it to display when users aren't logged in because it has important info for guests to read up on before deciding if they should sign up or not.

As stated, guests are able to see it from the /index.php hone version but not from the standard url version.

Thanks.

Are you able to reproduce this issue? Did you also disable the "System - Cache" plugin?

I have disabled it.

The social login issue can be replicated every time you log in with a social connect button. You'll notice it loads as if you aren't signed in but if you hit refresh it will log you in.

The missing menu issue can be replicated anytime you are signed out and load a fresh version of vghl.myvirtualgaming.com.

The invalid token issue is tough to replicate because it appears to happen randomly. If you log in with social connect buttons, navigate to another page and then log out, it will sometimes give you an invalid token. If you login to the non index.php page and log out it will sometimes give you an invalid token. If you try to login normally at the non index.php page it will sometimes give you an invalid token.

Thanks.

Hi Fidel Carrera,

Regarding the above, I cant seem to be able to replicate the issue at your site. I tried both standard url and url with /index.php and i cannot replicate the issue. Please see below videos.

(without index.php )

(with index.php)

Is your this issue resolved?

The missing menu issue can be replicated anytime you are signed out and load a fresh version of vghl.myvirtualgaming.com.

May i know which menu item is having this issue? By the way, if you only wish your menu item to appear to guest ( non-logged in users ), you should set your menu item the access to 'Guest'. Setting 'public' means anyone can see

Please advise.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi,

It appears that the menu issues has been resolved now that all of the caching is finally disabled an flushed.

The social login is fixed for the main home page but still exists if you try to log in from a different page. Please follow these steps to replicate.

1. Ensure that you are logged out
2. Go to http://vghl.myvirtualgaming.com/vgnhl
3. Sing in using social sign in
4. Look up and you will not be signed in
5. Hit refresh and you will be signed in

Hopefully there's an easy solution for this because I have do not have any other tricks to try on my end.

Thanks again for all of your help guys/
