I'm testing Komento on an existing website which already uses reCaptcha for public article postings.

When a user tries to post a comment the message, "Invalid domain for site key" is shown and Captcha is disabled.

I'm using the same keys for both and the domain has been included in reCaptcha configuration. The one difference I noticed is that on reCaptcha there are "site key" and "Secret key", whilst in Komento there are "Public key" and "Private key". This might be just nomenclature or go deeper.
It is most likely because you have set an incorrect public / private key of Recaptcha. Try re-generating the keys from Recaptcha and enter it again

Thank you Mark

That's strange, the same keys were in use in Joomla's default the reCaptcha plugin and working well.

Anyway, I chose to not use those keys and created new ones, which worked for both Joomla and Komento.

Thanks for updating, glad that your issues are resolved now By the way, if you do use Komento, please do consider contributing back to the project by purchasing the Pro version. Only the Pro version comes with support
