Hi SI Team

I am confused about the following:

http://finalbug.net/

There is an article called: “About finalBUG.net”

There are 2 things that I do not get:

First thing:

“The best online "Final Cut Pro X" training on the prairie!
Seminars in Berlin with online Webinars coming soon.”

I guess that this is an Intro Text?
Where can I find it?
I would have thought in the Blog Category “final BUG FAQs” in which the article “About finalBUG.net” is.
But I am not seeing it there!?!

Second thing

Where do I switch the intro text off if I want.
I have found 2 places so far.
One in the menu/home under post
And one in the Category “final BUG FAQs” under Post Options but neither seem to take effect.

thanks in advance

Paul
Hey Paul,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. The reason that nothing is displayed is because in your menu settings for the Blog, you enabled the option "Show Page heading". When this option is activated, EasyBlog will use whatever you defined in your menu as shown here, http://screencast.com/t/exGRVSIfV9

To ensure that EasyBlog uses it's own title, I have disabled that option in the menu parameters

Hey Paul,

That text above the toolbar is the blog's description / author's description (depending on where you set it). You can first check it in Settings > Layout . If it doesn't contain that text, then edit the author's description in EasyBlog.

Hey Mark

I am sorry but I am still confused.
So there is an author description and a Blog description.
I can see where they are in the back end7front end but do not know where to switch them in the back end?
Am I doing this in the Menu Section or the EB Category section?
Can you be more precise as to where to throw the switch?

I love this flexibility but it is hard to remember what is where!?!

thanks in advance

Paul

You can disable the blog description by heading to Settings > Layout > Toolbar and disable the option "Enable Headers Description Above Toolbar"

Hi Si Team

I am still missing something.
Please see the screen shots below.
If i understand things correctly I should have both the intro & description showing.
Am I going mad or is this a bug?

Please advise

Hey Mark

Thanks for that.
This was driving me mad.
I found the same place for the Home page.
And now have everything looking the same on all pages with the EB Component.
I am attacking the screenshot also for my own reference.
Because this will either break with an update or i will break it.
This way I can refer back to things

thanks again

Paul
