Two questions regarding regarding ED?

1) What's your timeline for profile & messaging integration with ES?
2) Do you have any plans to upgrade one of ED's templates to match that of ES (which is a truly elegant design)

We're planning to release EasyDiscuss 3.2 right after we are done with EasyBlog 4.0

Easyblog users already got their candy (EasyBlog 3.9 EasySocial integration), why it's not our (Easydiscuss users) turn to get it?

Ok, I am kidding, I know you better know how to plan things Just waiting for easydiscuss easysocial integration a lot

I am also trying to plan ahead, where would EasyDiscuss 3.2 and EasyBlog 4.0 fit in on the following roadmap (as a guide only, knowing you are perfectly entitled to adjust as you see fit later on):

1. Update to EasyBlog 3.9
2. EasySocial 1.1
3. EasySocial 2.0
4. EasySocial 2.1
5. EasySocial 3.0
6. EasySocial 3.1

The EasySocial Roadmap with Voices and Issues is an excellent idea, I assume you are planning to do the same with your other products later on, when time permits?

The speed of progress is so fast at the moment I know you need to plan ahead carefully to make sure available resources equate to achievable goals so everything has to be flexible, but hopefully EasyDiscuss can finally leave the station on the EasySocial integration train very soon!

Hey everyone,

Just bought a few components today, this stuff looks really amazing on first impression. There's two things that's missing that I really need - one is groups. I see this is on the roadmap for December. So, question to you guys who work here or who have been using these components for awhile:

How close to the mark are the developers here on feature releases? I know its hard to be precise but does stuff get released fairly close to when planned or are these feature releases 3, 6, 12 months late?

Second thing is VOICE - I want it. I was hoping easydiscuss would be a little bit more like VOICE and less like a forum. So far I am still really happy with easydiscuss out of the box... and maybe I just need to use it a bit more.

Hi Marco,

The roadmap will be an excellent indicator of when things are coming through as Stackideas are by a country mile one of the best companies in the Joomla marketplace, both for product quality and support.

Ref EasyDiscuss, there is a major update (v3.2) coming very soon (see my post above, just not sure where it fits in, before of after ES 1.1) and this will integrate with EasySocial as Stackideas head down the path of integrating all their products on one common platform with EasySocial taking the lead. I am sure EasyDiscuss will be even more flexible than it currently is after this (and future) releases.

I have never lost any sleep over taking out a subscription to any Stackideas product and hope you enjoy a very positive experience too.

Ok. Well, I believe you. I havent had a chance to look at the code yet, but everything else indicates that these guys and their components are great:) Once everything is integrated nicely, and with a few more features (like groups) this will be a nice package.

I too would appreciate an idea of the timeline for integration of EasyDiscuss with EasySocial.

It would make it a LOT easier from a planning perspective.

Welcome back Mark, - hope you were able to get some much earned R&R at the Joomla World Conference.

I'm waiting for a new beta that fixes current issues that hinder me from testing further. Anything I add to EasyDiscuss does not show in the EasySocial News Feed. I posted the issues in the beta 3.2.3 thread.

I will try to test beta 3.2.3 more later today. Look forward to the next beta of EasyDiscuss and the v1.1 beta which I saw might be made available next Monday.

Ah, that's because the app wasn't updated yet. I will be pushing this in 1.0.7 . I guess we need to start thinking about branching out those core apps in EasySocial as a separate download.

I noticed the Discuss App was the last version. So when can we expect 1.0.7?

Hello David,

Sorry for the late reply. Hmm we definitely won't be able to make it for the stable release of EasyDiscuss 3.2. I will however put this in the request list and we will se how it goes

Thanks!

EasySocial comments will be integrated into EasyDiscuss?

Lol...huh? comments into easydiscuss?
Why?
Replying in a forum type as easydiscuss is replying / commenting, which is something easydiscuss does...and therefor the same..?

I guess the initial thread creator was looking at integrations for the comments area to be pulled from EasySocial
