Dear HelpDesk Team,

As you can imagine, many of my members are on FB.
In order to increase the traffic on our community site (based on Easyxxx of course), I need to create more visibility of FB about activities on Easyxxx. It should motivate our "FB members" to open our site and share on it.

To be concrete:

1. When there is a main activities on Easyxxx - like the creation of a new Group, the registration of a new user, etc. - I would like that a link will be published on our official FB page.

2. When a author publish a blog article, I would like that a link to this article will be displayed on his own FB page

Is it feasible?
Hi Henri,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply and thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.

1. When there is a main activities on Easyxxx - like the creation of a new Group, the registration of a new user, etc. - I would like that a link will be published on our official FB page.

Yeah, I do think it will be cool to post to FB page when someone created a new group in EasySocial. However, I do not want to autopost to my facebook page when someone register on my site. These user registration might become a 'noise' in my FB page. What i mean is, not everything should autoposting to FB. If you have a list actions / activities that you think should autopost to facebook, do share with us and we will see if these activities are feasible or not.

2. When a author publish a blog article, I would like that a link to this article will be displayed on his own FB page

Regarding the above, I am sorry but this might not be possible now as Facebook has decided to remove this 'publish_actions' access from the API thus we can longer autopost to author's FB page

Hope this help and have a nice day

Not sure to understand : I read 2 contradictory sentences.

- "If you have a list actions / activities that you think should autopost to facebook, do share with us and we will see if these activities are feasible or not."
- "we can longer autopost to author's FB page"

Questions : can we (or not) autopost activities like Group creation or New User registration on a FB page?

If yes, does it mean there is a menu with selection for that?
Then I will see myself what activities I want to display or not.

Sorry If I insist.
The idea is to display activities on a dedicated and official FB page, linked to our site.
That is not a personal FB, ie. no 'noise', just key activities/informations who should be displayed and shared with the community : new Group, new Member

Hi Henri,

- "If you have a list actions / activities that you think should autopost to facebook, do share with us and we will see if these activities are feasible or not."
- "we can longer autopost to author's FB page"

I am sorry for the confusion. What I mean here is, our products still able to autopost to Facebook provided the FB page is belong to the owner who created the FB app thats used in your backend setting page. E.g. the EasySocial backend setting where you enter the FB app's App ID and App Secret. If you post to the FB page that belong to the same owner, then it will work.

However, if you attempt to post to other user's fb page (other users who are not the FB app's owner), then this no longer work because FB has obsolete the access right 'publish_actions'.

Questions : can we (or not) autopost activities like Group creation or New User registration on a FB page?
If yes, does it mean there is a menu with selection for that?
Then I will see myself what activities I want to display or not.

We can only post to FB page who are the owner of the FB apps used in your EasySocial. I haven't figure out how we should do this properly. Maybe a setting in the EasySocial apps that control whether the activities belong to these ES app should / shouldnt posts to FB page.

I am sorry for the confusion. What i mean 'noise' here are just an example where your FB page might be flooded with those 'not-so-importer' activities such as new user registration. Of-course with the settings in ES apps, admin will be the one that determine what activities should autopost to FB page.

Again, all the above are just my suggestion how this can work in our product.
Also, I will move this ticket into feature request section

Hope this help and have a nice day
