Can I install multiple instances of EasyBlog on the same website? I need to install an instance for "blogs," and another one for "research papers."

Following are some of the differences between the 2 instances.
1. the wording of some messages, e.g. instead of using the word "blog", I am planning to change the language file for the 2nd instance to use the word "research paper"
2. the access control rules would be different between the 2 instances
3. some of the configuration settings would be different, e.g. showing empty categories, comments rules.
Hey there,

Can I install multiple instances of EasyBlog on the same website? I need to install an instance for "blogs," and another one for "research papers."

Unfortunately, it is not possible to install multiple instances or multiple times the EasyBlog in the same site.

But, I do have a suggestion for you to achieve this in a different ways:
1. You can try creating two different categories for Blog and Research Paper
- Go to your site backend > EasyBlog > Categories > New > Details tab > Title > Blog
- Do the same for the Research Paper
- For the access control you can specify this for both of the categories at Categories > Blog/Research Paper > Permission > Privacy > choose Assigned Joomla User Group > in the Assigned Permissions section you can select the user group https://take.ms/YT24gH
After doing these you can see the categories you created in the Categories https://take.ms/K5fkB

2. You can create a menu item for this Blog and Research Paper
- Go to your site backend > Menus > All Menu Items
- Click the New Button https://take.ms/KHvGe
- Give the Menu Title > Blog/Research Paper
- For the Menu Item > choose EasyBlog > (Categories) Single Category
- At the Select Category field choose the category Blog/Research Paper
These menu items will be displayed on your navigation bar https://take.ms/KOyZ9
