Did you followed the steps from the full installer documentation?

Yes, I did. Thank you for your quick answer.
The full package com_easyblog_full_pro_5.0.44_joomla.zip contains a package com_easyblog_5.0.44_component_pro.zip. Installing this package via directory install works. The full-package must be unzipped first.

Is this true?

Thans for your help.

Hey Richard,
The installer doesn't have to be unzipped. It will be done by the installer itself.

Perhaps you can provide us with your following details at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we will try install Easyblog into your site and see if we can replicate this issue?

- test site Joomla backend access
- FTP access
- stackideas.com user account (the reason why i need your user access from our site is because we would like to download the full installer from your license and see whether is it that installer got some issue)

Hey Richard,
Just so you know, we have released the new 5.1.2 version of EasyBlog with many new changes.
If you do reinstall EasyBlog, it will be version 5.1.2. Remember to perform backups too as a precaution.

I have downloaded the full installer from your dashboard and when trying to upload it in Joomla extension manager, nothing happens. Normally this is due to the server having limited upload size. Can you try changing the following values in your server and let us know once you have done so? Thanks.
PHP: [upload_max_filesize = 64MB]
PHP: [post_max_size = 64MB]

Hi Raymond,

thank you for your response. I am a little bit confused. I use the easy blog installer installing via directory not joomla extension manager (which by the way does not work). upload_max_filesize is already set to 64MB.

Hey Richard,
Can you change the provided user access to super user level so we can investigate this better?
I noticed many operations in the backend is not working. For example, searching plugins, extensions, changing list limit, and so on.
Are you experiencing this as well on your end?
I use the easy blog installer installing via directory not joomla extension manager (which by the way does not work).
May I know what happens when you try installing bia the Joomla extension manager? Are you encountering the same issue as us whereby nothing happens after the installation package is uploaded(http://take.ms/Gt9mh)?

As the installation is not completed backend functions do not work. This is the same in my installation. Using the joomla installation results also in a "nothing happens".

As my site seemed to be damaged I deleted it and reinstalled it on a subdomain and the installation of 5.1.2 worked. So I close the ticket.

Hello Richard,

Thanks for updating us on this and I am presuming that it is most likely because of the huge installer size in 5.0.x (which is my fault) but we have actually reduced the file size from 20mb right down to 9mb in EasyBlog 5.1
