I'm looking for some advice, i have just purchased this product (EasyBlog) and I'm afraid to say its not been a good experience so far. I am developing a website for a customer currently offline in my Dev environment. I have just installed this component and all i get when visiting the front end of the website or the back end administration is a blank white screen after installation?

Can anyone help with regards to what the issue might be, or how i can completely remove the component without having to do a full site restore?

thanks.
Hello Simon Chapman,

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this? Please advise.

Unfortunately i cant as i said its my offline dev environment. I have edited the configuration.php file to manually turn on Error reporting. I now see this error when attempting front end access:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class JDispatcher in E:\inetpub\Museum\libraries\joomla\event\dispatcher.php on line 279

and this when attempting to access the back end administrator

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JHtml::getJSObject() in E:\inetpub\Museum\libraries\cms\html\bootstrap.php on line 472

Could this be a php error? Does the component require a minimum PHP version to run?

Hello Simon,

Hm to be honest with you we have never seen such errors before and this is the first time seeing such an error. Would you mind posting the following details about the server?

PHP version:
Joomla version:

P/S: We have found something similar on Joomla forums and you can actually view it at http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=710&t=760936 . Seems like the error is quite identical?

hello Simon,

Sorry for late reply to this,
That was strange, because I can able to view this page, check my screenshot below.
By the way, may i know what is your current version of your php, Joomla and which component do you have?
-> PHP version
-> Joomla version
-> what component do you installed in your site?

Hopefully we can access in your site and directly check for it, because we hard to know what is the issues causing this without the access.
Please advise.

I will try to upload the site to a public area and retest. I haven't found a solution to this yet?

It seems like that error message is come from the Joomla, did you consult with Joomla developer regarding this and see how it goes?
