Hi,

just tried to install via the "Installation via directory".
Uploaded this file (com_easyblog_full_pro_5.0.42_joomla.zip) to the correct directory.
The installation begins, and at 10% it says: "Initializing Database Failed
Sorry, there was some errors when trying to extract the queries.zip file. Please contact our support team."

Does anyone know what is going on?

Regards, Peter
Hi,

Are you working on localhost?

1. Try connecting to the internet and then install EasyBlog via directory. Unlike other Stackideas components that allow you to install the component when you are offline, EasyBlog requires that you are connected to the internet, even if you are installing via directory.

2. Check the following php.ini settings to be sure that they meet the EasyBlog system requirements:

max_execution_time
post_max_size
upload_max_filesize
max_input_time

Hope this solves the problem!

Hello,

no, I am not working on localhost, but want to install on a second domain.
I have checked the system requirements. and all are fine (I had to adjust the upload_max_filesize and the post_max_size). But they are ok now. I cannot find the max input time. I am using DirectAdmin on shared hosting. I don't think this is the problem

I am installing version 5.0.42. and the installation stops at Initializing Database ...10 %.
Any other ideas?

Regards, Peter

Hi,

Sorry, but I'm not sure. The things I described usually work for me. Support should be back online in a few hours, so hopefully you'll have a solution soon

Kind regards

Hey Peter,

Can you provide us following details so we can better have a check? You can update your details into your profile page -> into your http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site

1. second domain Joomla backend access

2. second domain FTP access

3. Our site (stackideas.com) login access, the reason why i need this is because i realised a few user also hitting the same issue, so I would like to check is it the issue coming from the full installer.

By the way, it seems like your license domain is set to 'localhost', perhaps we can help you change to your second domain in order to us provide support?

Hi Arlex, I have added my first domain to my account.
The username and password will also work for this second domain

I know I don't get official support, because my second domain is not registered to my account.
That is the main reason I want to install via the full installer.
But, sadly this is not working.
So, maybe it is a general issue. Please let me know.

FTP is ftp.overlastbomen.nl

Hey Peter,

Since I received a few user reported the same issue, I would like to figure out why you guys always hit that error when upload full installer from Joomla installer page, can you provide us with your stackideas.com user login access at your first post. (click edit button and put your login credentials into optional information area)

Or you can email me regarding with your username and password, so I can download that Easyblog fuller installer from your user account and see whether is it the issue coming from the installer itself.

1. Trying to upload full installer through your Joomla backend but it didn't show anything after upload 2 times full installer file, you can check my video here : thttp://take.ms/1APuE
I suspect when you trying to upload 18MB installer file from your backend, it hitting time up so it failed.
I would suggest you increase your PHP server max_execution_time at least set to 300.

2. Since upload already failed from your backend, I did try another method :
- Upload full installer zip file into your tmp folder and extract it -> http://take.ms/JEkEs

3. Then go to your Joomla installer page > click on install from folder tab > set the correct path link to your installation zip file location
screenshot : http://take.ms/fo2Oo

4. Once it show Easyblog continue installation, you have to extract that installation zip file from your local and copy this component zip file -> After extracted/setup/packages/com_easyblog_5.0.42_component_pro.zip
Then upload into this file location from your server -> .../administrator/components/com_easyblog/setup/packages
screenshot : http://take.ms/FK0tn

5. After uploadede, then click on install Easyblog button > click next > then select install from directory method and select that component zip file (screenshot : https://www.screencast.com/t/ENGzDC9qjMPX ) then click next.

After I did everything at above, that full installation work fine.

Can you give it a check is it work fine?
