Hi, I am having issues with easyblog 3.9 latest version. please advise.

Error: 1054

Unknown column 'a.private' in 'where clause' SQL=SELECT a.*, b.`title` AS `category` FROM `xxx_easyblog_post` AS a LEFT JOIN `xxx_easyblog_category` AS b ON a.category_id = b.id INNER JOIN `xxx_easyblog_featured` AS c ON a.`id` = c.`content_id` AND c.`type` = 'post' WHERE a.`published` = 1 AND a.`private` = '0' ORDER BY a.`created` DESC LIMIT 10
Hi Faruk,

Can you provide me access to your followings

1.Joomla backend.

2.FTP

3.PHP my admin access

Also I suspect that one of your Easyblog table is missing one column.

It would be nice if the resolution to this issue was posted.
I have the same error and want to know how to solve it.
I have re-installed Easyblog to make sure that all columns were in the DB, but no solution to the issue.

Honestly, I just deleted everything and including the tables to I did a fresh install. did want to take a risk in on a live site. The good thing about my previous entries was backed the on a test site using rss importer of easyblog. Nothing fancy

Hey guys,

You are hitting these issues most likely because you guys updated to 5.0 Alpha and tried to reinstall EasyBlog 3.9 again. Since upgrading to 5.0, this column would actually get deleted and when reverting, you will hit such errors.

It is never safe to install a Alpha version on a life site.
Wait till general release which means that the beta versions must have been passed as well.
BTW, I was testing on my test site.

Thanks, Pieter.

Hello Faruk,

It is not safe to install an Alpha on live site. It might break your site.
