Tried to install 5.0.22 and the installation hangs at 'Post Install cleanup' 45%.

Tried downloading component and install and that does the same,
Now the site does not show any blogs in the front of the site and in the back end the component pages are blank.
All in all a complete mess!

Will try going back to 5.0.21
Hey Geoff,

The reason why is because the installation load all the data from this table #__easyblog_acl_group, but i believe these data start stored from Easyblog 3.x version until now, so it got huge of data in this table then hitting memory limit then causing this issue.

So I do the truncate all the data in this table #__easyblog_acl_group, then the installation work fine now.

After installed completed, then re-save all the acl user group data again.

Blow that for an idea, the 5.0.21 download does not appear to be visible on your site.

Hey Geoff,

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

I tried downloading the whole component and installing from a local directory. It gets to the same 45% Post cleanup step and fails/hangs.

Net effect is that Easy Blog is no longer working on the site at all. Rest of the site is working fine.

Its been almost a day and I still have do not have EasyBlog available on my site since I attempted an upgrade to 5.0.22, I also notice that 5.0.22 is still the 'latest' fix release.

If you cannot fix it, can you send me a 5.0.21 release version which did at least work, even though it broke the site map generation, which worked in 5.0.20 and earlier.

Thank you. I have checked and it is now working,. the only thing I had to do was ensure that the front end menu item was reset since it was marked as having the 'component disabled'. Once that was fixed the front end was working OK as well.

I notice that the site map is also working in 5.0.22, which was not the case in 5.0.21.

Any extra information as to what you had to fix, so that I can learn in case it happens again?.
