Okay, I followed the instructions and got the new upgrade installer for EasyBlog 5. When I try to install through the Joomla Extensions manager panel, it gives me an error "Can't find the xml file".

If I try the Update panel through EasyBlog, it gives me an API Key error....

Suggestions????
Hi John,

May I know what is your easyblog version before you are trying to update to easyblog 5? Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on the issue directly?

Please advise.

Okay, time to regroup on this issue.

I will provide corrected credentials by Monday. To make a long story short, two separate actions were occurring which restored restored the site to a backup (that's a good thing) and the backup restore eliminated the new user account.

I did find that version of PHP might have been an issue. My ISP will upgrade the version from 5.3 5o 5.4 Saturday night.

I will post a response to this thread with details by Monday.

Okay, back to install issues....

As noted in the above discussion, I tried to update my EasyBlog

After the site was knocked offline, I did get it restored.

However, I am now unable to add a new article.

So, the update doesn't complete. I can't add a new article. And, thinking that PHP may be an issue, the site has been upgraded to php 5.4.40

Credentials are under site details....
