Hi,
I am trying to insert a readmore button into my blogs using the standard Joomla feature but it does not appear in the front end. In the settings>layouts>Truncation, I have set "Display Readmore Button When Necessary"to yes but it does not appear. I can get the truncatation to work but I would prefer to insert read more where I chose. Is there a solution to this?
Hi Brain,

You may change the settings at BackEnd > Settings > Composer > Composer Editor : Built In - EasyBlog Composer
Check my screenshot: http://screen.stackideas.com/Settings.png , http://screen.stackideas.com/easyblog_composer.png
Can you give it a try and do let us know whether does this help you out?

If yes, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better a look?

Hi Brain,

I've checked and it seems like the blog post was migrated from older version and the blogpost was edited by Joomla default editor, the truncation settings are under ( normal posts ).
Check my screenshot: http://screen.stackideas.com/EasyBlog__-_Joomla_Editor.png.
You may use "Easyblog Composer" and Start creating your new blog post > Add Blocks > Elements * Button * > Hyperlink : * blog url link *
Check my screenshot: http://screen.stackideas.com/add_block.png
Unfortunately, it is not possible to use Easyblog composer to change blogpost that was edited on Joomla default editor.
