Yes, we have a need to insert images within numbered steps. As I stated above, we write technical articles and we insert images within our numbered steps to make it more clear for the readers.

Maybe it is not working as you required, it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this issues by creating a new ticket on the forums and set it to "Feature Request", so everyone else could vote for it, the more people request on this, and we will priority consider it.
