Hi,

I notice there's a post about infinite scrolling from 2013. Wondering if this feature got ever implemented.

I would like it for listing blogs such as the homepage or the categories.

regards,
Hello Ningning,

I'm sorry but we don't have infinite scrolling setting. However, you can hack to have the infinite list but it will slow down your site since it needs to load all your post in one page.

It would be nice to have ajax infinite scroll for easyblog.
Having to click for the "next page" greatly increase the abandon ratio. Instead ajax loading of new posts will keep users on our website. Facebook, twitter, and all social websites has this, they know how to keep people on their websites.
Someone managed to have this working with EB?
Thanks!

Thanks for the input on this Martin! We actually did thought about this but it's not really good for SEO since there is no real way to index the rest of the other pages.

Hey Mark, thanks for reading.
I think that if a blog post is included in a category, tag, group, etc it will be indexed inside this container.
Also its possible to have the "go to page 1 2 3 ..." at the bottom of the site, with correct link to each page, and only when reaching the bottom, ajax will take care of loading new articles and replace with "go to page 1 2 3 ...", or simply remove it.
Anyway, some of us dont need SEO my users never comes from search engines.
I would preffer to have infinite scroll than better seo

Thanks martin

Unfortunately that was not possible to achieve this way in current system.

But it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this in our voice page -> http://stackideas.com/voices/easyblog , so everyone else could vote for it, the more people request on this, and we will priority consider it.

You could use the EasyBlog auto article plugin to convert your EasyBlog articles to Joomla native articles. Now your plugin should work on your frontpage and you still got all other links to EasyBlog working. This would lead to having two links for the same article, the native article and the EasyBlog article, but as you said, you do not care about SEO...
