We are laying all the base and it will be technically possible. We are indeed heading towards that direction.

The data structure for location to be searched (users, groups, events) has been completed actually. All the data needed to be searched are ready to go. What remains is the feature to search it.

We are currently working on it. Finger crossed that we will be able to complete the search feature on time. Even if not, it will be at the top of our priority task anyway.

If I may suggest something for the search module since it was not amended yet. Would be nice to make the module configurable like I be able to set it to search for Groups only, or Users Only, or Events Only, or ALL. That way when I place the Search module in Groups page it will not confuse users with the number of hits it returns. Searching while in Groups and get a hit for Events is kind of messy, I should say.

I for one would like to see some optimisation of the Search function. Even getting the Search function to go to a advanced search or maybe even an advanced search customised by the admin would be very cool, My 2 cents
