I installed ES v1.2.6 and went through all the Apps and menu items to double check everything. When I clicked on Maintenance I got this error message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class SocialMaintenanceScriptFixAlbumPhotoUserId in /home/chamberv/public_html/chamberanswers.com/administrator/components/com_easysocial/updates/1.2.1/FixAlbumPhotoUserId.php on line 44
Just an update on this guys, here's the problem basically:

1. When you download a new launcher and install EasySocial, the language files would get copied over automatically.

2. We made a mistake by removing the language files from being copied over again when you update the extension. (Hence, the language file is not updated if you skipped step 1)

This will be resolved once and for all by downloading the new launcher (1.2.7) which will be released later next week.

The language string for me broke in that area as well. The constant name is "COM_EASYSOCIAL_DESCRIPTION_MAINTENANCE".

Hi Josh,
I had the same issue with the missing languaage string. Seems the updates don't always replace the previous ES language files. So I had to manually copy them from the ES installer package located: /administrator/components/com_easysocial/setup/packages. You'll find them in the zip file.

Mark showed me that downloading the launcher can fix this too. I mentioned this for the Stacked team.

Guys, if you are hitting the errors like Randall pointed out, delete the folder /administrator/components/com_easysocial/updates/1.2.0/ . This only affects user who upgraded from the beta / rc releases.

As for the language issue, I am still checking on this because by right, you don't need to download a new launcher for the new language file to get updated.

Glad to hear you figured out the issue. This should also cut down on support requests for you guys. Thanks for looking into it.

Mark,

Re: - delete the folder /administrator/components/com_easysocial/updates/1.2.0/

Can I safely delete all the folders?

There are folders from the first alpha version. 0.0.1, 0.0.104, 0.0.91, 0.0.94, 0.0.96, 1.0.1, 1.0.2, 1.0.4, 1.0.5, 1.1.0, 1.2.0, 1.2.1, 1.2.3, 1.2.4, 1.2.6

Yes, you may delete them if you want because they should be executed when you upgrade or install.

Thanks Mark,

I will delete them now. Better to ask than to delete them and find out later they were needed.

I deleted the majority of the folders, and I left the 1.2.4 folder and the 1.2.6 folder, and then I checked to make sure it worked properly by clicking the Maintenance option and everything is now A OK.
