I have a suggestion for improving the media manager in EasyBlog 5.1 even more. I mean, it already got a lot better than the old one, but there still is room for further optimization.
What I find extremely annoying is the "My Media" tab inside the media manager. When I click it, it does list EVERYTHING of my media files on one single page. Not only does it take ages to load up given the size of my website, but it also slows down the browser due to the huge list of content. What's more, it's a pain in the ass - or no - it is impossible to find something in that huge list.
So please do the following for future releases:
Implement the posibility to search for media and provide a option to filter them by posts they are attached to. Also implement a pagination feature to make sure loading times stay short. Furthermore there should be a way to change sorting of the lists. So besides an alphabetical order there should be a ways to sort by date in order to get recent media uploads on top.
