Can you try download my attached file and replace into this following files and see how it goes?
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/dashboard/quickpost/forms/photo.php
JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/responsive/responsive.php

You have to do the backup for those original file before you replace these patch files in your site.

Hi Arlex,

That has worked. Thank you. I can now submit images from an old ipad running IOS 9. Tested on later iphone 6 and that is good too. Is this a bug - will this be addressed in next release?

One thing that would really help with the submit images is to have a progress bar or something to indicate it is uploading the image(s). At the moment it looks like it isn't doing anything whilst uploading in the background. Could this be added in to stop confusion?

thanks Pete

You're welcome.

Yes, that is bug actually, I will log this issue and we will apply the proper fix in next release version as well.

Thanks for your input, I will log this into our codebase and see if we can implement this in the future version.

Hello,

I'm doing some more testing with this Quick Post area and am finding it a little confusing.

1. If I type text in the Text tab area and then move to the image tab and upload a photo, it doesn't upload the photo. Only way I can get photo to be included in the post is to use the image tab and type the post there.

2. When using the image tab, it only allows me to have one photo, and that must be the Post Cover. I cannot include other photos in the post. Is there a way around this?

thanks Pete

Hello - something else i have noticed with images uploads, but this time using the Full front end composer. Works fine from a desktop. use any iphone, ipad (whatever IOS) and you hit issues.

1. with an iphone, there is no option to even upload images anymore, only a post cover. Trying to upload a post cover fails, as the upload button doesn't do anything when clicked.

2. from an ipad, all the options are shown, but when click Media link, it takes you into screen to drag files to upload (no good on ipad etc..) and no option to upload, which should direct to my photos, icloud etc...

I have tried all of the above with and without your fixes earlier. Seems both Quick Post and Full front end composer don't work too well with mobile devices.

thanks Pete

It seems like that is bug, I've applied some css fix into this file, it should populate that media manager button on iPhone device now.

JoomlaFolder/templates/jsn_venture_pro/css/styles/custom.css

#eb.is-legacy .eb-comp-mobile-footbar .eb-comp-mobile-footbar__item:first-child {
display: block !important;
}

Regarding with your iPad device, it seems like that is some styling issue which not populate on the iPad screen, i will lock this issue in our issue tracker as well.

Hi,

The CSS fix you provided does now give the option to add media, however when you enter that area the upload button doesn't do anything. Click it and nothing happens. Have cleared device cache etc.. no change. button doesn't do anything. Can this please be fixed asap.

As for the ipad issue, when will this be fixed? I guess once fixed to show the upload button, this may also experience the same issue above that the iphone is having with the upload button not working.

Can both of these issues be fixed asap.

thanks Pete

Regarding that iPad issue, I already consult with our designer regarding this, can you download my attached file and replace into this following file location and see how it goes?

JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/styles/composer-5.1.8.min.css

Before you replace the file you have to rename the original file to composer-5.1.8.min.css_bak, in case it not working.

And I also realised your site already get compressed those stylesheet and javascript on your server pagespeed, after you done replace that file, you have to clear your cache from your pagespeed.

The CSS fix you provided does now give the option to add media, however when you enter that area the upload button doesn't do anything. Click it and nothing happens. Have cleared device cache etc.. no change. button doesn't do anything. Can this please be fixed asap.

I did a test on iPhone, it seems work fine, you can check my attached screenshot below.

By the way, it seems like you provided us that FTP user account credentials not longer work.

Hi Arlex,

I updated the css file above and it does now bring through the buttons. On the ipad I can upload photos.

Issues....

1. The CSS file completely trashes the styling of the page on all devices and desktop pc. see attachment.

2. The iphone still cannot upload. the button doesn't work. Tried this on both iphone 6 and 7 running latest IOS available. Cleared cache etc...

3. When clicking upload button on the ipad, it is very slow to bring up the option for icloud, take photo, photo dir etc... Takes over 5 seconds on the first go. subsequent presses it is faster....

I have re-enabled your ftp access. your admin account is active too.

All cache deleted and disabled pagespeed for now.

thanks Pete

Regarding that iPhone upload issue, I've applied some fix in this file JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/composer/media/default.php

Can you clear your browser cache and test again?

Test again on iPad device as well.

By the way, I also noticed your site still have load pagespeed, perhaps you can temporary disable it first in case somewhere cached my latest fix.

Thanks Arlex - Sorry, thought I had disabled pagespeed - i had just flushed the cache...

Anyway, please to say both ipad and iphone now work. Can upload and insert images correctly. The fixes you have applied, will they go into the next release of Easyblog?

The only issue I do find is that when clicking to upload image, it takes a good few seconds to bring up the 3 options (icloud, photo, capture). Is that normal, even on a newer iphone/ipad?

thanks Pete

Yes, those fix will included in next release version as well.

Can you check my attached screenshot below is it you referring that upload button when you view on iPhone device?
If yes, it seems like I was unable to replicate this on iPhone 6 plus and 7, and currently I was unable to test on iPad because now i do not have iPad device around here.

Yes it is that button. It seems a bit random. Sometimes fast, sometimes very slow.. I'll keep an eye on it, looks more like device than site with it being fast sometimes.

thanks again for your help. Pete
