Hello,

I was trying to configure the mailbox posting for EasyBlog but after I setup my Cron job and run the test I get the following error message: Failed, imap is not compiled with PHP. I am running PHP v7.0.29 under CentOS 7. ANy idea where to start?

Thanks!

Dominic

You have to request with your webhosting provider to enable this IMAP extension on your PHP server, it should solve this issue.

Thanks for the quick answer! My site is hosted on one of my own server which runs CentOS 7. I installed php-imap but it still not working. Might have to activate some modules in my php.ini file then.

Perhaps you can check from your backend > system > system information > PHP information > and see whether you have enable this IMAP extension.

If there already shown you enabled, perhaps you can update your Joomla backend and FTP access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

It does not seem to be installed. I'll work on it this week on my side and keep you posted. If I can't make it work I'll let you know. Just want to make sure I tried everything before "wasting" you guys time.

Thanks again, great and quick service!!!!

Ok so I tried hard here and (I am not a programmer but a Network guy fyi lol) I can't make it to work. I am using Centos 7 with php 5.14.16 and php 7.0.10 installed. My Sites run PHP 7 but I don't have the imap module installed and for some reason I can't find a way to install it. An idea? I also run webmin/virtualmin.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried some of the solution (especially from the first link) but it did not work. I'll keep looking and trying, hopefully I'll come to resolve this issue soon. I wasn't sure if you already had the same issue and found a solution. Gotta love challenges!! lol

Thanks again!

Hey Dom,

You're most welcome, perhaps you can try ask this question in Centos forum and see how it goes?

But i am not really sure that is the correct place to ask or not.

Alex,

Thanks my friend for pointing me in the right direction! I looked at this link (https://duongquocthuan.net/install-php7-centos-7-x-php-imap-php7/) and I managed to have php-imap installed with this command (yum install sclo-php70-php-imap.x86_64) and the module now shows under my PHP Information. I tired a connection test in EasyBlog and I got a "Success"!

I'll run couple more test but I think I should be good now!

Thanks again and keep up the good work!!
