Hi! And happy belated birthday, Mark! I am having an issue where the blog image doesn't show when I share on social. I saw the others on the forums have this issue, and I followed all the advise that I found, but still no image showing when share. Ideas? If I don't get this article out today, it gets trashed. And I can't get it out without an image. Anyway, I know it's your weekend, so no worries if you can't get to it.

Cheers!

BB
Hey Brett,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. It looks like you are using a much older version of EasyBlog on the site and this is why it isn't picking up the first image of your post.

I have manually patched the file /administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/facebook/facebook.php with the newer version and it works fine now.

However, I strongly suggest that you update to 5.0.30 You are using 5.0.13, you could imagine how much updates you are missing there

It appears that there is an issue iwth updating. I have been trying to update for over a week now, and I go through the steps to update and nothing happens. It says that it was done, but when I go to the backend, it says I need to update. Images attached. I even tried uploading the most current version via extension manager.

Hi Mark,

I'm having a similar issue with an older version of Easyblog, but I can't upgrade just yet. Would you mind sharing the change you made?

It seems like that path is shown wrong location.

Can you try download my attached file and replace into JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\includes\facebook\facebook.php and see how it goes?

Note : Remember backup your original file first since you already mentioned your site Easyblog still using very older version.

Hi Arlex,

I must not have subscribed to this because I'm only just now seeing that you responded some time ago. Sorry about that!

My client decided to go the route of upgrading EasyBlog 3 to 5 and we just did that. Except the problem of images not displaying on twitter persists. I thought the upgrade to the most recent version would correct the problem.

Now I'm back to looking at this earlier solution, but my installation has a newer version of this file. I would expect it has the corrections already? Am I mistaken? Which means the problem on my site might be different.

Can you take a look?

Hey there,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I would suggest you start a new thread and provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a check on your other site issue?

By the way, it would be best if you can described again with your current issue in new thread.
