When adding a featured image to our blog posts we found that we now need to add a leading / for the images folder in EasyBlog 5, which is something that we have not had to do with previous versions of EasyBlog.

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks!

Hey Chris,

I already checked in your site, it seems like that was issue with JCE editor, even if you insert image in Joomla content, the image also shown broken, you can take a look of my attached screenshot below.

Perhaps you can consult with JCE developer regarding this or you can set `Relative path` to NO, so that it will appear the whole image URL with domain name.

Hey Chris ,

Do you mean when you adding post cover in your post? But it didn't show out correctly?

If yes, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

By the way, in the future you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies

Hey Chris,

Thanks for getting back to us,

Actually I still feel a little bit lost here, what do you mean when you add a featured image to your blog posts we found that we now need to add a leading / for the images folder in EasyBlog 5?

Can you provide us with some screenshot which part are you referring to? Please advise.

Hello Arlex,

Here is an example screenshot of the images http://prntscr.com/8w02yr - sometimes we need to have the image URL start as /images/picture.png instead of images/picture.png or else the image will not properly post.

Hope that helps!

Hey Chris,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

May i know how you add the image into blog content? Is it use the Easyblog default media manager or JCE?

By the way, can I have the permission to help you update to latest version 5.0.29 ?

Hello Arlex,

The images are posted to the site in the actual content of the blog itself. As for updating, we do our own updates after we take a the new version for a test run

Hope that helps!
Thanks!

Hey Chris,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply,

The images are posted to the site in the actual content of the blog itself.

Actually I am still not quite sure how you insert that image into blog content, perhaps you can provide us some screenshot how to insert? because I tried in locally it should show '/' slash first.

Since we updated our forums in this 2 days, we can't see your site details which you provided in above your reply, can you put again with your site detail into http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site or edit your first post then put inside the field, so that we can take a look this issue again.

Hello Arlex,

We add the images to the image folder first and then add them to the blog itself using the EasyBlog tags and image scripts.

Happy Halloween!

Hey Chris,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. You need to upload the images via the media manager because when you do it via the media manager, it actually generates some important meta data that needs to be picked up by EasyBlog.

Hello Mark,

What if uploading via the media manager is not an option? That also does not really solve the original issue. Here is an example screenshot of the images http://prntscr.com/8w02yr - sometimes we need to have the image URL start as /images/picture.png instead of images/picture.png or else the image will not properly post.

Thanks!

Hey Chris,

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access into this thread first post(click `edit` button) so that we can access in your site and reproduce this issue.

By the way, can I have the permission to help you update to 5.0.30 version?

Hello Arlex,

I have added the requested credentials for you. Please do NOT update EasyBlog, as I had mentioned before we do our own updates after we take a the new version for a test run . If updating EasyBlog is the solution to our issue though, please let me know and I will discuss this with the team.

Thanks!
