Hi,

I have some questions about images EasyBlog.
1. Where can I find some documentation about automatically insert images in EasyBlog?
2. I noticed that I can upload images and other media in the space just above the editor. Normally I use JCE editor. Is there a special advantage when I use the upload possibility from EasyBlog?
3.is there a feature that automatically places an image in a particular spot of a blog entry? And resizes it to a certain width and height?
4.any other particular features about images in EasyBlog?
5.I have problems with an certain image. when you go to http://www.sitesuccess.nl/Blog/google-webmaster-tools-account-website-toevoegen-verificatie is the second image. I had set the image to the left and clear to the right. But somehow Joomla or EasyBlog removes this. Any idea if this is something which EasyBlog does?

Regards, Maurice
1. Where can I find some documentation about automatically insert images in EasyBlog?
What do you mean by automatically, please elaborate? Easyblog media manager how ever automatically create multiple picture by cropping it to thumb nail size and etc. You could check out more about this below
link to the blog post --> http://stackideas.com/blog/new-media-manager-for-easyblog-3-6

2. I noticed that I can upload images and other media in the space just above the editor. Normally I use JCE editor. Is there a special advantage when I use the upload possibility from EasyBlog?
Media Manager in easyblog have features where it has a shared folder(shared by all blogger) and private folder to select uploaded images with thumbnails preview to all the images instead of selecting one by one to have preview in JCE Editor.

3.is there a feature that automatically places an image in a particular spot of a blog entry? And resizes it to a certain width and height?
I'm guessing you are referring to the blog image in EasyBlog. Blog images is an image that identifies your blog post. Every blog post on the site, can be associated with a single image. This image will be used as the image within the featured section, frontpage blog layout and other locations which your template provider see fit.

4.any other particular features about images in EasyBlog?
If you set in backend > easyblog > media > media manager and enable Enable lightbox by default screenshot --> http://screencast.com/t/KZHGRjnPunyw
Images uploaded using media manager will have lightbox to the pictures posted on the blog.

I'm not sure I get you here, from the link it was displaying as you said, please advice? screenshot --> http://screencast.com/t/Ug1NJQZgBXGy

Thanks:)

Thank you for your replies.
Question number 5: yes, that is the image that causes problems. As you can see I had to set the margin of the right side to 50 pixels, otherwise takes would automatically be added to the right side of this picture. When you login at the backend, you will notice what I mean. I just did send you the login with another post, the one about social buttons.

Some additional questions about images.
When I go to media, then to general and then original image: when I set to yes, will all my images automatically get the maximum width and height?

Media manager and then go to image panel and then go to enforce image dimensions by default: can you explain what this does or what I can do with that?

Using the media manager in my blog entries:
I added an image caption, but somehow it does not show. Maybe it is because I do not see how I can safe my changes for instance in appearance. Please help.

In the media manager, how can I move an image from one folder to another?

I really need a good explanation in HOW to use the media manager step by step! Nothing is working as expect it to work.

Hello Maurice,

Kindly please find the answers to your inquiries below:

When you login at the backend, you will notice what I mean. I just did send you the login with another post, the one about social buttons.

Hm, sorry but I am a little lost here, can you please provide us with a screenshot of the issue?

No, it always uses the thumbnail if you are going to insert the image into the content.

Media manager and then go to image panel and then go to enforce image dimensions by default: can you explain what this does or what I can do with that?

In short, this basically means that it will ensure that the proportions of the image remain intact if you decide to change the width / height of the image. This doesn't modify the image but only alters the html width / height attributes.

Using the media manager in my blog entries:
I added an image caption, but somehow it does not show. Maybe it is because I do not see how I can safe my changes for instance in appearance. Please help.

The post at http://www.sitesuccess.nl/Blog/google-webmaster-tools-account-website-toevoegen-verificatie doesn't seem to contain any captions on the image. Am I missing anything here?

In the media manager, how can I move an image from one folder to another?

I am sorry but unfortunately this is not possible yet currently.

Here is some more explanation about the problems I encounter with adding images to my blog. I used the normal content editor, as I still don't understand the image manager of EasyBlog.

Problems with images
I have two problems with my images in EasyBlog.
First problem: the position of image number two on page http://www.sitesuccess.nl/Blog/google-webmaster-tools-account-website-toevoegen-verificatie .
On the first attached screenshot (foto backend) of the backend of EasyBlog, you see at arrow 1 the alignment is set to left and clear to both. But after I save the blog the result is not what I expect, see near the arrow at the second attached screenshot of the front-end (plaatje voorkant) . There you see next to the arrow some text. In my opinion this text should not be there. It should be underneath the image. I’ve tried about 20 times with all kinds of combinations, but it is impossible to clear the right side. Please help!

The second problem is when I add some modules to the right sidebar and the body becomes more narrow. What happens, is that the second picture on this same page automatically gets a different width that it should be (530 pixels instead of 578 pixels). You can see at screenshot number one that the dimension is said to 586 pixels. What is going on here?
What makes an even stranger, is that the first picture on this page has its normal width, see screenshot number three (plaatje met verschillemde breedtes) at arrow number two.
Why does image number two automatically gets a different width and image number one not?

Here is the code of the two images on the page. In the first image code I see a class which I don’t know and if form of display which maybe explains the difference?
Or take a look take attachment number four

Code of the first image on the page
span style="display: inline-table;" class="wf_caption"><img style="margin: 10px auto 25px; float: left;" alt="Google Webmasters Tools Account aanmaken" src="images/stories/aSiteSuccess/Blog/Account_aanmaken.png" height="312" width="580" /><br style="clear: right;"

Code of the second image on the page
img style="margin: 10px 30px 25px auto; float: left;" alt="Google Webmasters Tools Website toevoegen" src="images/stories/aSiteSuccess/Blog/Google_Webmasters_Tools_Website_toevoegen.png" height="307" width="578"

Hello Maurice, I've checked your site: http://www.sitesuccess.nl/Blog/google-webmaster-tools-account-website-toevoegen-verificatie and the text is at the bottom. http://screencast.com/t/8KcjSqLRCn . As for the second problem, sorry but I kind of lost here. Can you provide us your backend access so we can have a better look here?

Hello Maurice Lehr ,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,
Regarding with your first question :
I have checked in your this blog post content from backend ->
http://www.sitesuccess.nl/Blog/google-webmaster-tools-account-website-toevoegen-verificatie ( http://screencast.com/t/1u5XOqcGdO )
If you disable the right side module, then the blog post have a enough space to display like this text style ( http://screencast.com/t/1u5XOqcGdO ).

I have tried to create another blog post (testing post please ignore) and adjust the text/image alignment from the blog content, it seems like the result is look like better a bit, check my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/WVyU1CWK (Test blog post adjust the text/image alignment), are you referring this?

Regarding with your second question :
If I'm not wrong, actually that is depend on your template size, see my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/svdjP6AaML
Regarding with your template we can see there already have the available for your right side position, so when you assigned some of module display on right side position, the blog post position will automatically adjust the width, even the image size will become different as you mentioned in that screenshot.
Remember correct me if i'm getting wrong meaning of your issues.
