Hi,

1. Latest Blogs Module

I currently display my Latest Blogs module on my home page, and when the the blog header links or read more are clicked they open the entire blog article in the content area of my home page - which doesn't look good at all. Is there any way I can change it to open it in the Blog itself ?

Is there a way to set the Latest Blogs module to only display blogs in the module that have images? Its an aesthetics thing, to make the display look better.

2. Image Wall Module

I have blog feeds from third party rss and some of the images are stored on sites like pinterest, so don't display in the Image Wall module (just shows the missing image icon - see screenshot). Again is there any way I can set the component not to display articles in the Image Wall that don't have images?

Kind regards

Mel
Hello Mel,

For the latest blog module, there is a possibility that you don't have Easyblog Frontpage layout assigned to menu item. We can check it for you if you provide us the access to your backend.

As for the Image wall, yes, it is possible to do so but it has to be done thru modification on the file. Same goes to Latest Blog which you want to only display blogs that has image. So, we need your FTP access to add the hack.

Hi Nick,

thanks for responding.

With regards to the Latest Blog Module, I have it showing only on my website's Home Page (which is not where the main blog is - that sits under another menu link called Blog). I have checked the menu link for the main blog and that is set to front page blog layout - is that what you meant?

Are you able to tell me how to add the hack? As I would need to do this every time I upgrade? If not, which folder do you need ftp access to?

Kind regards

Mel

Hello Mel,

Yes, that is what I meant. Have you publish the menu item? Can you provide us your backend to check this?

Yes, I will tell you what I've modified so you can re-apply it in the future. You can give us access to your modules folder. It will be easier for us you can provide full access to your FTP.

Hi Nick,

it is definitely published as it is the main link that opens the blog area of the website.

I have added the ftp details to the modules folder

Hello Mel,

It would be easier for us if you can provide full access to your backend.

Hi Nick,

I would prefer not to do that as it opens us up to vulnerability - not stackideas but been bitten by other developers. Is there any way this can be achieved without admin access?

Hello Mel,

For the latest blog module, there are many possibilities. We need to access it to check. We can fix your site faster with the full access. Same goes to the Image Wall module. Since it is a custom work, we need to directly apply to your site.
