I am sorry for the late reply. I have able to replicate this on my local. Related to the issue raised, there is a slight misunderstanding.

EasyBlog creates 6 types of new images (large, medium, thumbnail, and etc) based on the original uploaded image. These images can be used as a image source for your blogpost. This will effect the image resolution if you used it on your blogpost.

However, if you want to re-size the image, you can do it so on Image Size tab. Here is the screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/sccHhnWQcmW .
