Hello,

I noticed that 'Image block' does not show uploaded image after finished uploading on v5.2.9.
Before, it used to show image instantly after uploading.
Please see attached screencast. Tested on front-end.

Can it be fixed?

Thanks,
Rikao
Hey there,

Can you please edit your first post at the top and include the following access please?

- Site Admin access (Please ensure that the user has super admin access)

- FTP access (We need this because if we use a file manager in Joomla, there are times where we have a typo and this might eventually break your entire back end and front end for instance if we are editing a system plugin). There is no way to save the site unless we have the ftp access.

Hi Abdul,

Thanks for your reply.
Do you mean you cannot replicate this error on your end?

Today I checked with the developer tool and saw 'Uncaught TypeError...'.
(Screenshot attached.)

Just wanted to confirm before providing admin access.

Thanks,
Rikao

Hi there,

Currently it is not possible for us to replicate them locally as you can see here http://take.ms/XZ0M7. Please advice.

Hi,

I don't understand what you mean...
I saw the video link you provided, and it seems that no image is shown after finished uploading, on your end too.

What I'm saying is ... it should show image in the block right after finished uploading.
Is there any misunderstanding?

Hello,

I updated the site credentials for you.
Please test on the front-end.
In our case, even a small 60k sized image will not be shown after uploading.

Users will not notice that images are successfully uploaded if it's not shown in the block.

Thanks,
Rikao

Hi there,

I have extended this to our Developer and after hours checking, seems like somehow "seems like there are some execution conflict in the javascript during image processing as the code is being executed before the real data is being retrieved from your server, causing the missing variable error as in the screenshot.

We have applied them on your site and it should works as it should now. We will included them on our next release version. Can you give a check first and see how it goes.

Hi Abdul,

Thank you for your investigation.
I confirmed that the issue is fixed now on our test site. Thanks.

Since we need to apply the fix also on our live site, will you please instruct me which file to upload?

Thanks,
Rikao

Hello,

I'm wondering because there is no such a folder:
media/com_easyblog/scripts/composer/

But I noticed that the following file was modified:
/media/com_easyblog/scripts/composer-5.2.9-basic.min.js

I've tested by uploading this file, and works fine now.
Please let me know if I'm mistaken.

Thanks,
Rikao
