The "New event" button is displayed for users that do not have permission to create an event. How can this be hidden so that members are not confused please?
Hello Andrew,

I think I figured out why the new event button is still there. Do you still allow the user to create new events? If you don't, then you should just turn off their ability to create events under the respective profile type.

The new event button is still visible to them because they can actually create events just that there are no categories available for them to choose from.

Hello Andrew,

By default the button would only appear when the user has access to create new events. Do you have a user account that you are testing with that could see the button even though they don't have permissions to create events?

Hi Mark,

The event categories are configured to only allow members of a specific profile to create an event, and the test user is not a member of that profile. I have tried a second test account and the same happens.

Which is the test user? Can you provide us with the test user's access?

Well done! I don't think that is in the documentation.

Thanks as always Mark
