Currently my blogs are displaying all of the characters that appear before the read more link in my blogs. I would like to set a truncated number to display less. I have also found the truncation settings but they do not seem to take effect in any blog which I believe has a Read More link in it. I am thinking this is probably because I somehow have my system set up to display based on the Read More links instead of a specific number truncated?

The settings I found are located in Components->EasyBlog->Layout->Truncation

I guess I am wondering if the real answer is that I need to stop using Read More links and remove the ones I already have in order to have the truncation number take effect? I do know that will work.

Thank you, Sean
Hi Sean,

Yes it is Sean. If you are using Read More block, it will automatically truncate your blog post and truncation set will be ignored. Hope this already solved your issues faced

OK. I am pretty sure that you have set this up the way it is on purpose. ie. it is a feature and not a bug.

I will start to remove the Read More links from all the blogs that I want to see auto truncated in the listing views.
